General

Simpill is an online prescription delivery service that allows you to manage your medication in a simple and convenient way. We work with your GP to order, dispense and deliver prescriptions.  

Simpill provides a prescription delivery service which makes the process of ordering medication easier and more convenient. You can request your medication online, and once we have checked your prescription with your GP, we will dispense and deliver your medication straight to the address you have provided. We also remind you when it is time to reorder your medication to ensure you receive your medication on time.  

Simpill was founded in 2012 and has become a trusted provider of medication for care home residents. It has expanded its services  it has expanded its services to all individuals who are looking for an easier way to receive their medication.

We are registered with the General Pharmaceutical Company (GPhC) which is the independent regulator of pharmacists and pharmacies. This is to ensure that pharmacies are operating safely and legitimately. 

We aim to provide a high-quality service but are appreciative of any feedback you may have.  If you have any issues then we will listen and respond so we can make improvements to the service we provide. We aim to deal with your complaint the first time you raise it and treat every complaint in a fair and serious manner. We want to resolve complaints as quickly as possible so will respond promptly.

Registration and Account

To register an account with Simpill, click the login button and register your account. Simpill will then require information such as your registered address and your GPs address 

Once you have registered an account then you will have access to your Simpill dashboard. From here, you can order your prescription, change your profile settings or visit the NHS app.

You can change any personal details in the profile settings section on your Simpill dashboard. 

Ordering

Order a new prescription on your Simpill dashboard. You can then select the option for a physical or electronic prescription. Alternatively, if you have no current prescription you will be directed to the NHS app to complete you order.  

A nominated pharmacy is the pharmacy that your electronic prescription will be sent to. Once you have nominated a pharmacy then you will no longer need to pick up your prescription in person and your prescription will continue to be sent to your nominated pharmacy until you change or remove your nomination. To make Simpill your nominated pharmacy, you must first register and create an account with Simpill. You will then be directed to the NHS app where you can select Simpill as your nominated pharmacy.  

In some circumstances, you may be entitled to free NHS prescriptions if you:  

  • Are aged 60 or over, under 16, or aged 16-18 and in full time education  
  • Are pregnant or have had a baby in the previous 12 months and have a valid maternity exemption certificate (MatEx)  
  • Have a specified medical condition or a continuing physical disability and have a valid medical exemption certificate (MedEx)  
  • Have a valid war pension exemption certificate  
  • Receive income support, income-based jobseekers allowance, income related employment and support allowance, pension credit guarantee credit or universal credit. This will apply to you, your partner or any dependent under the age of 20  
  • Have a valid NHS tax credit exemption certificate  
  • Have a valid HC2 certificate and qualify for full help with health costs  
  • Have a valid HC3 certificate and qualify for partial help with prescription costs

Please contact your doctor to receive your medical exemption certificate. Your doctor will provide you with a FP92A form to fill out with relevant information which will then be signed by your GP to ensure the information is correct. 

To order a new prescription, enter the order a new prescription on your Simpill dashboard. You can then select the option for a physical or electronic prescription. Alternatively, if you have no current prescription you will be directed to the NHS app to complete you order.  

Delivery

Your prescription will be delivered by

Your NHS prescription will be delivered to the address that you have provided free of charge.  

Prescriptions that are received before midday will be delivered by 2.30pm and prescriptions that are received before 4pm will be delivered by 6pm providing stock is available.

You can give an alternative delivery address such as a neighbour or your place of work to make the delivery process more convenient. You can also arrange a safe place for your medication to be delivered if you are not home. Alternatively, if you aren’t home when we attempt delivery, we will post a card through your letterbox which will let you rearrange a new delivery time slot. You can give an alternative delivery address such as a neighbour or your place of work to make the delivery process more convenient. Yes, we will deliver all medication in discreet packaging without any Simpill branding or labels so it is delivered to you discreetly.
